Barcelona thrives on its big dates: congresses at the Fira, races at the Circuit and festivals that fill the city. In those weeks, getting around becomes the real challenge.
This guide covers the main venues, how to reach each one and why a pre-booked car with driver is usually the most reliable way to arrive on time, and to get back.
Part 01 · The Venues
Where the Big Events Take Place
Fira Gran Via, the congress venue
In L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, about 12 km from the airport, it hosts Mobile World Congress (1–4 March 2027), the Smart City Expo World Congress and trade fairs such as Alimentaria. It's served by metro line L9 Sud and FGC trains at Europa|Fira station.
Fira Montjuïc and the Olympic Ring
Next to Plaça d'Espanya, in the Sants-Montjuïcdistrict, it hosts smaller shows and congresses, while the Palau Sant Jordi and the Olympic Stadium stage the big concerts.
Parc del Fòrum and the waterfront
At the end of the Diagonal, next to Poblenou, it's home to festivals such as Primavera Sound. And Port Vell hosts the Barcelona Boat Show.

Why Getting Around in Event Weeks Is So Hard
Taxi queues and surge pricing
When tens of thousands of attendees leave at once, taxi ranks jam and ride-hailing apps push up their fares exactly when you need them most.
Packed metro at opening and closing
The L9 and FGC trains work well, but first thing in the morning and at closing time they're packed, and with a suit, a laptop bag or product samples the ride feels long.
A tight schedule
Between the stand, off-site meetings and client dinners, every missed transfer costs time and opportunities.
Part 03 · The Solution

Corporate events →Quick Questions
How long does it take from central Barcelona to Fira Gran Via?
About 15–25 minutes by car from the centre, depending on traffic; longer at peak arrival and departure times.

Yes: you can book by the hour each day or a full-day service with the same chauffeur for the whole event.
Do you offer transport for groups?
Yes. We coordinate several vehicles for teams, speakers and guests; also read why private transport makes the difference at your event.
